Up date 1.
Not much more has been done on most of the car for my last post though this one is near done. As you can see it looks a lot more like the real thing out on the road :)

The beginning
Welcome to my blog! This is the place where railways are real and dirty!
I intend to keep a record of my current railway projects on this page so please enjoy :D
It's late and I am half asleep so hopefully this makes sense and I am still getting my head around this but here are my current project :p
From the start here is Auscision ahgx grain wagon.
First thing I did was repaint the green with a lighter green. Then gave the whole wagon a fade wash. This is the base coat and with represent the oldest coat of paint on the wagon
At this stage I had given a newer still faded green coat to represent an area when graffiti was painted over but some time ago. The other thing I have done is using an old brush applied spots of brown.
Some pictures were lost here and so afew steps have been missed but I used weathering powders striking down from the brown specks. This gives the effect of rust running down the side. And next I added what is going to be a fresh coat of green paint where graffiti has been painted over recently.
